Short stories about our character's history?

This isdea came to meafter browsing through all the packs I've been part of or still am. However, something on the Blacktalon's site caught my attention.

What if there was a thread on the DDP site where members could post short stories containing the history of their character(s)?
Like the Vignettes on the Blacktalon site: http://ferosferio.forumotion.com/f22-character-vignettes

it would be a fun way to get to know more about someone else's character in detail, as the history in the biography doesn't always tell everything.

Sounds like a nice idea to me. Some people already post their short character-related stories on the site, so that would be a neat little section to have. I'm in favor of it.

Same. I mean, we already know the general gist of some wolves' histories, but seeing them as a story, and going through the journey with them makes them more... Understandable? Like, you finally see why their personality came out the way it did.

That's a really good point. It would be very cool to see how the characters turned out like they did. I would definitely be writing an in-depth story of Fyrebane's early life for this. I'd like to go in to more detail about the tragedies that befell my young guy; I've imagined him a brutal history. I'd love to get the chance to chronicle Avalon's lost life as well.

And yes, it would make the characters more relatable, in my opinion. I also just love to read, so I'd love to read the histories and accounts of other characters.

Understandable---yes, I think that you guys would understand and feel for Fyre a lot more if you could read his story, as with the other characters.

^^ Precisely!! I mean, sure you see some baddies in the pack and all, and you have a general understanding of why, but you can't feel it. And, not only that, but it could answer some questions we might have for other characters. For example, I would totally read Ava's lost life, as I've always been very curious.

What about some fallen characters though? What happened to them that made them just go down? Like my own character Ailis. What happened to her, in detail, what made an honest wolf with a bright future fall down to bitterness, assassination, and a general uneasiness to wolves?

I would definitely read other people's stories, even if it isn't that short and turns into a long chronicle or novel. The characters on this website are interesting, and I have so many questions about many of them. Maybe that's just me though, wanting to know the insides and out of a character to get them.
